Report: John Frusciante Leaves Red Hot Chili Peppers

NEWS-bannerAccording to various news outlets and music blogs, influential guitarist John Frusciante has left the Red Hot Chili Peppers and will be replaced by session/touring guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who has played with the Chili Peppers as well as Beck, Gnarls Barkley, and PJ Harvey.  This is certainly big news – Frusciante is widely considered to be one of the best guitarists around today and he shaped the signature Red Hot Chili Peppers sound.  Certainly, there will be more news to come shortly.

Wow, the next Chili Peppers album would suck without him.

He made Stadium Arcadium what it is. The rest of the band helped, but it was mainly Johnny’s guitar riffs and solos that made songs like Especially in Michigan and Wet Sand so good.

not like im a huge fan of them or anything, but still in all, he’s an integral part of the band. its not like getting rid of chad smith. I ought to check out Frusciante’s solo material. ive heard its impressive.

Seriously…not like RHCP has really done anything lately, though.
